Excellent Results by No Limits Rowing 2008 season

Another year has passed and it is worth sharing some of the great success of NLR and all of the athletes that one way or another participate on my programs

The masters program Learn To Row, has grown and continues to do with new members spreading the word of mouth of this beautiful sport. Last year we graduated around 20 people who joined the NLR LTR programs and have become members of the Cincinnati Rowing Club.

Even through the cold days of December we were able to graduate the last class with 3 brave rowers who were learning in snowy days. Really Cooooool !!!!!!!

I have to mention the great results of our competitive team that raced in different regattas around the country. One that really made me very proud was the Gold Medal, Mindy Hatfield and Monica Kohler won in Columbus OH at the Head of the Speakmon beating 20 boats including local masters program from Cincinnati.

The summer brought a lot of success with Jimmy Stafford wining the Silver Medal at USA Nationals and becoming the second fastest sculler in the Nation. Fall brought two new Junior rowers, Meredith Freshley and Lili Fleishmann that both rowed at the Head of the Hooche for the first time in a double together and beat 20 boats finishing in 5th place.

Another story is the participation of No Limits Rowing and the Lords Gym event at the Flying Pig Marathon where we donated our time to help this great cause and raise funds to help their ministry.

There are many stories but sometimes the ones that make more happy are the transformations of people through rowing. Its not about winning a medal sometimes, sometimes is about winning other battles and I am proud to see that every day with the people I coach.

I am looking forward to a great 2009 with a great commitment with Cincinnati Country Day as their new Head Coach and to increase the number of graduates of LTR programs and make more adults better on the water.

Thanks for 2008

Jump-Start Love Life and Rowing

Hey Rowers, I was reading through Fitness Magazine and I found an interesting story that is worth sharing. I will take portions of it and here it is.

It was time to face the big question: Why can't I find a decent guy?. The magazine gives some advice as to how to meet the real fish

"Do an activity you enjoy", said Karen Salmansohn, another life coach and the author of How to be Happy, Dammit. "Bonding is easier through shared experiences. " Thanks to her prompting, I've started taking coed group exercise class. While there's not one in it whom I feel goose-bumpy about, doing relay races and tug-of-war has been such fun, easy way to connect with strangers, I'm thinking of joining a soccer team.

I also enrolled in a new gym, and I've had a few interactions with a hottie who likes the rowing machine.
