2014 Learn to Row Classes

2014 Learn to Row Classes start in May 2014.

Graduate in 8 classes with basic rowing technique and then join our growing group of rowers. Once you graduate your LTR package will include a one year membership to NLR's use of boats, coaching and trips to East Fork lake and the Ohio River.

Format: Groups fill quickly and we row in 4X's (Quads) and 2X's (Doubles) so once we have 4 or 6 people we close the class.

Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 pm for 8 sessions

Location: Hal Lake in Newtown OH

Cost: $ 650.00
Includes:

• Coaching for 8 sessions
• Boats and oars
• Membership for the rest of the year with NLR that includes 1 day of coaching plus use of boats and equipment
• 10 class pass to our Indoor Rowing facility at The Rowing Place
• Transportation of boats to East Fork Lake or the Ohio River for special rowing trips
• Coaching at races that NLR participates

Row for Haiti a Success!!!!

The Rowing Place which is a Cross Training Rowing Gym organized four teams of 3 persons. Each team rowed as hard as they could during 90 minutes to raise money for the FOCAS Ministries in Haiti. The total amount of money raised was $ 1,527.46 and we are still expecting more people to match some of the teams efforts.
